The Langhe Arneis of the Cordero di Montezemolo farm is produced from grapes from the vineyards in the municipality of La Morra, Guarene, Govone. The grape harvest usually takes place in the first half of September.
The company today covers 28 hectares in a single body and extends in all directions near the buildings located on the top of the hill, to which they add 2 hectares to Castiglione Falletto and 7 hectares for rent in the Roero area. The vineyards, cultivated with the traditional local varieties (Nebbiolo, Dolcetto, Barbera, Arneis) boast exclusive and valuable positions, plants of advanced age and an inimitable and articulated subsoil. A precious surface that, season after season, works to conceive some of the wines that affirm Piedmont in the world.
The history of the Monfalletto Estate, owned by one of the various branches of the Falletti family, the most important noble family of the Albese, is interwoven with that of the Cordero di Montezemolo when Maria Lydia, daughter of the Marquise Luigia Falletti, marries Paolo Cordero di Montezemolo in 1918. The unfortunate couple dies prematurely but not before giving birth to a male child also named Paul. The latter, orphaned at the age of 15, grew up under the care and doctrine of her maternal grandmother, Marquise Luigia Falletti. Upon her death, in 1941, all the properties, including the beautiful Tenuta del Monfalletto of La Morra, inherited her niece Paolo. Ancient texts bear witness to the thriving and important agricultural activity of the fund, lying on a unique and privileged hilly relief. The production of wines on this hill has been documented for over 200 years
