Château de Meursault was built in the 11th century and the first records date back to 1666 when the property was owned by Blancheton Pierre, a lawyer in the Parliament of Burgundy, who will keep it until the French Revolution. At the end of 2012, the Halley family, one of the most well-known and wealthy in France, buys the Domaine while maintaining strong ties with the centuries-old tradition that characterizes the company. Today Domaine du Château de Meursault makes wine from 60 hectares of vineyards, all located in the Côte de Beaune, in Aloxe-Corton, Savigny-lès-Beaune, Beaune, Pommard, Volnay, Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet.
