This Burgundy is called Terroir d'Exception because the vineyard is located in the heart of the Perrières appellation. From these vineyards are born wines full of minerality and finesse, just like Meursault 1er Cru Perrières.
Château de Meursault was built in the 11th century and the first records date back to 1666 when the property was owned by Blancheton Pierre, a lawyer in the Parliament of Burgundy, who will keep it until the French Revolution. At the end of 2012, the Halley family, one of the most well-known and wealthy in France, buys the Domaine while maintaining strong ties with the centuries-old tradition that characterizes the company. Today Domaine du Château de Meursault makes wine from 60 hectares of vineyards, all located in the Côte de Beaune, in Aloxe-Corton, Savigny-lès-Beaune, Beaune, Pommard, Volnay, Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet.
