Argentiera, Doc Bolgheri Superiore, draws its strength and its singularity from the magnificent land that generated it. Its grapes come from the company's most suitable vineyards of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc.
To describe a wine it is always necessary to decipher the landscape of origin, then place it in the environment that generates it to appreciate its nature.Villa Donoratico is a decidedly consistent and complex wine that never falls into the obvious, demonstrating a character deeply linked to its area of origin.
Tenuta Argentiera is located on the hills adjacent to the sea of the Tuscan coast in the heart of the Bolgheri Doc area recognized throughout the world for its great wines. It takes its name from the fact that around the 1st century BC the area, where the company stands today, was strewn with silver mines. Argentiera extends for 500 ha, of which 75 has exclusively devoted to the production of wine, immersed in the Mediterranean scrub and very close to the sea. The area where it stands is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful from a landscape point of view and is dominated by the cellar that stands on top of a hill. The property today belongs to the brothers Corrado and Marcello Fratini, well-known Florentine entrepreneurs and the Marquis Piero Antinori.
