With a little bit of healthy unconsciousness and especially a lot of initiative, in 1994 the brothers Alessandro and Paolo Gigli bought an almost dilapidated farm near Piombino, an area heavily suited to wine production. The two brothers, without any agricultural experience behind them, begin to restructure the property starting from the cellar and planting new vineyards. In 2001, the first small production was launched on the market which today is around 25,000 bottles a year. The family management and the limited production ensure that any passage is perfectly controlled by the two brothers and by the irreplaceable winemaker-agronomist Fabrizio Moltard. The results can be seen as they produce very high quality wines.
