Liger-Belair has produced and traded wines at Nuits Saint-Georges since the XXVIII of the century, more precisely since 1720, the year of foundation. In 1923, the Domaine has been listed on the Stock Exchange of Lyon and today is certainly one of the most important wineries in Burgundy. Currently the Domaine is run by Thibault son of Vincent, who after six years of studies in viticulture and oenology, and after a few years in a societies and organizations specializing in communication in the wine business world, acts as president of Domaine Thibault Liger-Belair. The Domaine manages 7.5 hectares of vineyard situti of 5 different towns: can count prestigious vineyards including the Grand Cru Richebourg, Clos de Vougeot, Nuits Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Saint Georges, etc ... The philosophy in the production of wines it is geared to the different processing depending on the Apppelation and vintage. The richness and variety of terrain requires an individual reflection for each Terroir, without sticking to fixed rules or systematic working methods. The Domaine, in addition to making wine grapes owned, also makes activities of negoce, breeding and bottling prestigious wines like Corton Les Renardes and Corton Les Rognets. In vineyard the domaine follows the principles of Biodynamic Viticulture.
