Domaine Charlopin Tissier is a rare find. The Domaine started production in 2013 with vines planted on an area of 1.08 hectares under the wise conduct of Yann Charlopin and Justine Tissier. The young couple over the years then expanded the property to the present extent of just over 4 hectares of vines in Bourgogne, Côte de Nuits-Villages, Marsannay, Gevrey Chambertin, Morey-Saint-Denis, Vosne Romanée and Pernand-Vergelesses. Inspired by the elegant wines of their mentor Jean-Marie Fourrier, the wines of Domaine Charlopin Tissier are pure wines of elegance and refinement. After studying winemaking in Beaune and spending time producing wine in Tasmania, Sancerre and Chablis, Yann Charlopin returned home to work alongside his father, the famous winemaker Philippe Charlopin. When the opportunity arose to acquire some of the Justine family's vines in Marsannay and with a clear view of the wines he wanted to create, Yann could not pass up the opportunity to venture on his own. With the encouragement of Jean-Marie Fourrier, Yann and Justine bought the Domaine David Clarke in Morey-Saint-Denis. In the vineyard, all agriculture is organic, once harvested, all the grapes are de-stemmed, undergo a cold maceration and ferment with natural yeasts.
