This Gevrey-Chambertin Village 2014 was born from Pinot Noir grapes grown in vineyards located in their properties in the town of Gevrey- Chambertin. It offers typical hints of the denomination in which it grows and it's supported by a great elegance through it's a wine called "Village". To the mouth it feels a solid body, while remaining well aware of the female component of the wines of Sylvie Esmonin all played on elegance and sharpness of the fruit. Savory and " iron" finish.
wine description
It comes from Pinot Noir grapes grown and grown in the Vecchie Vigne owned located in the Municipality of Gevrey-Chambertin; in the vineyard a natural and little interventionist viticulture is practiced. The soils are of a very draining mixed type with the presence of clay mixed with fossils (oysters and sea lilies) and the area enjoys excellent and if not high ventilation especially in summer evenings. The harvest is manual and allows the harvest of perfectly healthy and well ripe grapes; in the cellar the fermentation is activated only by indigenous yeasts with the vinification that involves the use of two thirds of grapes not destemmed. Aging takes place in 80% new wood for 18 months.
