This Burgundy red from Domaine Anne Gros comes from Pinot Noir grapes and is rich in fruit. The refinement takes place in new oak barrels for 30% and this allows the wine to soften the tannins. It is surprising to note that although we are talking about base wines, some vintages have an aging potential of over 10 years. The alcoholic fermentation is activated in 4-5 days, the "Pigeage" are short and frequent and occasionally Remontage can be performed. The total duration of maceration is about 15 days, after which the wine is aged in 30% new wooden barrels for a duration of 12 months. Before being put on the market, the wine rests for a few months in glass.
Ruby red, the nose reveals beautiful aromas of small red fruits, blueberry and currant in particular. In the mouth it is broad, decisive, covered with a soft and enveloping tannic texture. Long, it closes with notes of coffee.
Wine to drink and does not despise aging which at times can even surprise.
Taste it at a temperature of 16 ° C. Throughout the meal, Pinot Noir goes well with rich dishes of filled pasta but also and above all with meats of all kinds. Also perfect on a tartare with truffles.
