CLIMAte

2013 is a year of great character. The cool and rainy spring supplied the subsoil well with water and the season, although quite dry, was absolutely not affected by water shortages. The season is to be considered cold, especially in the period of late summer - early autumn, therefore excellent for Nebbiolo. For the other vine varieties that prefer the heat (Dolcetto and Barbera), the vintage is still Good or Excellent thanks to the few and well distributed rainfall.

tasting notes

From this cru we obtain Barolo of great structure but with elegance and complexity. Aromas initially fruity, later floral and then again spicy, open and intense. Generally with an exceptional aptitude for aging.

aging capacity

Wine with very broad evolutionary capacities.

small tips

Taste it at a temperature of 16 ° -18 ° C. red meats in general, grilled or raw shellfish fish, grilled white meats, hard or aged cheeses, chocolate.

to know more

The term Nebbiolo seems to derive from "fog", it is not clear whether to define the appearance of the grape, dark, but tarnished (clouded) by abundant bloom, or if due to the very late ripening of the grapes, which often leads to harvesting in the period of autumn mists.
