wine description

Produced with Nebbiolo 70% grapes, 20% Croatina and 10% Vespolina in the Bramaterra Doc at 350 meters above sea level with South-East / South-West exposure in the vineyards of the property. The soils are characterized by acidic ph constituted by porphyritic sands of volcanic origin of red-brown color and the yield is around 35 quintals / hectare. The vinification involves the selection in the vineyard followed by destemming and crushing. Fermentation is classic without temperature control with pumping over and delestage followed by malolactic fermentation. The care of the vineyards and the agricultural practice combine the company among the artisan producers and also the work in the cellar presupposes practices of respect for the grapes and use of indigenous yeasts; the wine follows a 3-year refining period of which 24 months in barriques (2 or 3 passes), about 6 months in cement and as many in glass.

tasting notes

Ruby red in calyx, with garnet reflections. The olfactory bouquet opens with hints of plums and black cherries, which are followed by references to spices, red figs and aromatic herbs. The drink is played on a pleasant freshness and on a perfect tannic texture. The body is medium and the finish is pleasantly sapid.
