Wine description
It comes from Pinot Noir grapes grown and grown in Gevrey-Chambertin in the 0.67 hectares of vineyards that the Domaine Drouhin-Laroze owns in the Grand Cru Latriciéres Chambertin at about 280m above sea level facing east. The Latriciéres Chambertin Grand Cru AOC 2019 shows a beautiful ruby-garnet color. On the nose we find tight aromas of cassis, tobacco and light vanilla. On the palate it is ample, robust in its structure and endowed with very good length. In this wine we have an encounter between elegance and finesse with a well-controlled tannin. The soils are very thin silica (about 40cm) and very rich in stone. Pinot Noir was harvested after mid-September 2014 and vinified by maceration for 25 days with spontaneous fermentation; subsequently the wine was transferred to new pieces at 80% where it was aged for 18 months and then bottled. Only indigenous yeasts are used.
Small curiosity: Latricières "is a contraction of" La tricière ", which in the Burgundian dialect indicates a land not suitable for cultivation, a land that has little value.
Aging capacity
Drink wine for over 15-20 years.
Small tips
Taste it at a temperature of 16 ° C combined with large noble game dishes rather than large cheeses.
