The domaine has been working organically since the 2000 vintage and since 2010 it has been certified organic wine. In this same philosophy, for some years, a part of the vineyard has been working in an agricultural biodynamic way, with the aim of oscillating on the whole vineyard. The soils are worked with respect for nature, by regular plowing without herbicide and without chemical products, using only less sulfur and copper phytosanitary treatments.

CLIMAte

The vintage began with a mild and rainy winter, which allowed for water reserves, followed by a hot and dry spring (1 ° C more than the average). The climatic conditions meant that the harvest was anticipated except that, due to a rainy summer, cool nights and less solar radiation than the seasonal average, in a few weeks what had to be an early harvest and instead became late. The 2014 vintage is therefore characterized by fruity, balanced wines, less alcoholic than the average (-1% vol), ample in the mouth, round tannins, fine and well structured wines. A spectacular white with good acidity, it offers great sensations. 2014 promises good aging potential for those who have the patience to keep them long enough.

tasting notes

Clos du Caillou Rouge 2014 has a beautiful carmine red color, the nose has aromas of raspberry and strawberry, associated with notes of black truffle. On the palate it is elegant, fine and soft, with strawberry flavors, associated with licorice cream.
