The domaine has been working organically since the 2000 vintage and since 2010 it has been certified organic wine. In this same philosophy, for some years, a part of the vineyard has been working in an agricultural biodynamic way, with the aim of oscillating on the whole vineyard. The soils are worked with respect for nature, by regular plowing without herbicide and without chemical products, using only less sulfur and copper phytosanitary treatments.
2013 is one of the latest vintages of the past 30 years; It is characterized by very low yields and relatively atypical balances where fruit prevails. In fact, the spring of 2013 is one of the coldest and rainiest in recent years and as a consequence has delayed the vegetative start of a fortnight. Flowering, meanwhile, has been interrupted by severe temperature fluctuations. The alcoholic and malolactic fermentations were quickly completed by giving a balanced wine, with a good acidity, with moderate alcohol levels and with a fruity Grenache.
Les Quartz 2013 Chateauneuf du Pape shows a beautiful deep red color; the nose has discreet and elegant aromas of black cherry, red and red fruit eggnog, with some notes of cedar and wild juniper. On the palate it is characterized by elegance and finesse, dominated by silky tannins with aromas of raspberry jam, cherries and blueberries.
Wine capable of evolving well without problems even 20 years.
Taste it at a temperature of 12 ° C accompanying game dishes.
