Giovanni Montisci's Barrosu Riserva Franzisca is produced from Cannonau grapes grown in Barbagia from 90 year old vines. It is the Cannonau reserve of the company which in the 2014 vintage consists of 2000 bt. In the vineyard the training system used is the sapling and the yields are around 40 q / ha; the agronomic practices used can be traced back to the concept of naturalness and organic viticulture. The manual harvest took place in October; after soft pressing, the wine ferments and ages for 24 months in 40Hl barrels, the duration of the pre-fermentative maceration is 35 days. There is no filtration and before marketing it rests in the bottle.
It has powerful and enveloping scents, is rich in matter and never as in this case the ideal is to try to have more than one bottle to see it evolve over time given the high potential. The mouth is powerful and it is a sincere wine that is told for what is without artifice.
Wine with excellent evolutionary prospects.
Taste it at a temperature of 18 ° C and try it on the typical Sardinian suckling pig.
