This wonderful wine was born in the renowned Barbaresco Cru called Montestefano, on marly-limestone soils and facing the south. The vineyards are located on the top of the vineyard and are a few meters from the shop-house where Teobaldo Rivella and his wife, expertly following the vintage, give us a Dolcetto d'Alba of fine quality: the grapes harvested were vinified in steel only, through the use of indigenous yeasts and 5-day maceration on the skins.

WINE DESCRIPTION

CLIMATE

After the month of January and the first part of February, characterized by mild temperatures and low rainfall, frequent rains arrived in March capable of guaranteeing a good water reserve in the soil. The subsequent tendentially cool period favored a delay in the vegetative restart of about ten days which lasted until the end of summer.

TASTING NOTES

Dolcetto di Rivella is deep ruby ruby red. The nose is elegant, with hints of cherry and violet. On the palate it is full and balanced, with tannins mixed in the mass and a nice spicy finish.

AGING CAPACITY

Wine with good evolutionary abilities.

SMALL TIPS

Taste it at a temperature of 16 ° -18 ° C combined with pappardelle with game ragù.

TO KNOW MORE

We highly recommend a visit to the Rivella winery, you will discover that the welcome of Teobaldo and his very kind wife is worth the trip alone. You will also notice the proximity between the splendid Montestefano vineyard, the cellar and the house.
