It was born from Nebbiolo grapes harvested in Serralunga d'Alba, in the cru Ceretta. In the vineyard Elio Altare practices sustainable farming with natural grassing of vineyards and only the use of copper and sulfur treatment and organic cow manure as fertilizer. The harvest of Nebbiolo takes place in mid-October, the entire process of collection and selection is done manually. The winemaking involves a maceration in rotofermenters at a controlled temperature for 5 days , the aging takes place in French oak barrels (30%new) for 24 months.
