The Langhe Nebbiolo of the Az. Agr. Bussia Soprana comes from grapes harvested in the Bussia and Gabutti vineyards. The oldest vineyard is 8 years old, is made of Nebbiolo and is considered by us to be a wine heritage for the clone that gives the wine its color and acidity. The average production is 50/60 quintals per Ha. Refinement of 6 months in bottle.
Intense ruby red color with garnet reflections, the notes of ripe red fruit, pepper and anise are very evident. In the mouth it is balanced and full, with a very long and persistent finish.
The 2017 wine year will be remembered in the Alba area for the tendentially hot weather and low rainfall. The winter was mild and with little snowfall, while the first part of spring was marked by some rains and above average seasonal temperatures capable of anticipating the development of the vine. At the end of April there was a sudden drop in temperatures with some frosts affecting mainly the vineyards at the bottom of the valley and the hilly slopes. A long period of fine weather began in May, culminating in high temperatures during the summer months. Some storm blocks in August ensured the accumulation of good water reserves in the soil, foundations for the continuation of the vegetative cycle. Starting from the first week of September temperatures have dropped significantly with significant temperature changes between day and night. In summary, it was a year characterized by low production but characterized by excellent quality.
Wine capable of evolving for a few years.
Taste it at a temperature of 16 ° C - 18 ° C. Excellent if accompanied with meat and vegetable appetizers, but also with meat-based first courses, better if slightly spicy.
