The wine’s name comes from a family story handed down throughout the centuries. The story recounts an ancestor of the Fedespina family, a certain Rossi, administrator of the property of the Marquis, who lived around the 15th century, and thwarted a conspiracy against the Malaspina Marquises. As a reward of that faithful man’s fearless action, he was granted the surname Fedespina (“faithful to the Marquises”).

wine description

Fedespina comes from Pinot noir grapes produced from vines over 40 years old. The soil is clay-limestone with a significant presence of sand and silt. For fertilizations, plants of biological origin are used. No chemical fertilizers or herbicides are used.

tasting notes

It shows a beautiful ruby red color. Equipped with very fine aromas of small red fruits, leather, pepper and mineral scents, it develops elegant and deep on the palate thanks to layered and silky tannins and the freshness that is always present until the very long mineral finish. It has a strong spicy fan with a high potential for elegance in its expressiveness.
