It comes from Pinot Noir grapes. The parcels of the estate are located next to the most prestigious vineyards of the Côte de Beaune, in the villages of Mercurey, Meursault and Pommard. The clayey and silty soil on marl. The clayey content of the soil allows to obtain rich and aromatic wines. In the vineyard Armand Heitz applies the dictates of biodynamic agriculture. In the cellar the vinification is carried out in the most natural and traditional way possible, using indigenous yeasts for spontaneous fermentations lasting 15-20 days. The wine ages in small barrels for 17 months; a further rest in glass follows without undergoing clarification or filtration. Use of new wood for a maximum of 25%.
Ruby red in color, the nose is expressive and fruity, with notes of violets, plums and black fruits. A light earthy note in the background. In the mouth it is light, with good acidity and an austere finish.
Wine with good aging prospects.
Taste it at a temperature of 16 ° C. It goes well with fresh cheeses, cured meats and appetizers and noble poultry.
