It comes from Pinot Noir grapes grown and grown in the lieu-dit of Hautes Montiotes in Vosne Romanee, a small village of about 400 inhabitants located in the heart of the Cote-D'Or. The vines grow on soils composed of a 30 cm horizontal upper layer of limestone and gravel, under which jagged rocks rise. In the vineyard Pierre Girardin works according to the guidelines of organic farming. The power and concentration of the fruit, produced by the heat and dryness of a vintage that had to be harvested almost urgently in mid-August, are elegantly balanced by the acidity and a salty finish that amazes the taste buds. 50% of new wood and 40% of bunches for a great aromatic complexity!
