Roagna's Dolcetto d'Alba DOC 2018 is born in one hectare of vineyard in the Carso area - a natural continuation of the renowned Asili cru in the Municipality of Barbaresco - from vines facing South West. The Dolcetto grapes, harvested by hand, are vinified with indigenous yeasts in wood with maceration of 25-30 days, before being bottled it rests in steel for six months. It is an unconventional Dolcetto in which this denomination has stumbled too many times: it is a serious wine, of remarkable quality, complex and perfectly adhering to the original type. tasting notes
It shows a rich ruby color. The nose is characterized by notes of red fruits, cherries and black cherries, accompanied by floral touches of peonies and cyclamen. In the mouth it has a vibrant tannin and after a revival of the fruits and flowers perceived in smell, it closes with a subtle almond note, typical of dolcetto.
aging capacity
Wine with good potential.
small tips
Taste it at a temperature of 18 ° C. A wine for the whole meal as tradition dictates, able to enhance and exalt itself with a knife-beaten meat with mushrooms.
