Wine description
Morey St Denis is a small town of 713 inhabitants located in the heart of the Cote d'Or. In particular in wine it comes from a plot of 0.9 hectares facing east of 70-year-old vines in the lieu-dit Les Porroux.
Cultivation of vines
The vines are grown organically and a simple guyot pruning is used. All the work in the vineyard is done by hand. The vines are planted at a density of 10,000 plants per hectare.
Tasting notes
Intense ruby red. The nose reveals elegant aromas of blackberry, licorice and mint, as well as a hint of earth wet with undergrowth. On the palate it is very intense, with vibrant tannins and good softness. Long persistent, it closes on spicy notes..
Aging capacity
Wine with excellent aging potential
Small tips
Taste it at a temperature of 16 ° C paired with "borgognone" beef, duck breast, "coq au vin" and aged cheeses.
