Coming from vineyards in the municipality of Serralunga d'Alba, the largest municipality and one of the most important, Barolino 2012 by Massolino follows an aging in oak barrels for a minimum of 30 months, with a stop in the bottle for about a year. One of the best generic Barolos of this vintage.
It shows a beautiful garnet red color. Smell enchants with intense aromas of licorice, black cherry and leather, with references to smoke and truffles. Wide mouth, expressive and round, with velvety tannins and firm body. Persistent finish, with notes of spice and cherry.
Wine capable of evolving well for many years.
Tasting it at a temperature of 18 ° C goes wonderfully with red meat or game dishes. Magnificent also with dishes in which the Alba truffle is the protagonist.
