Brunello di Montalcino by Tenute Silvio Nardi is made from Sangiovese Grosso , harvested in their own vineyards located in the east and west of the town of Montalcino, where soils are composed of jasper and shale .This wine has been produced since 1958. The planting density is 5,500 vines/ha, the age of the plants is between 5 and 35 years. In the cellar the wine has a period of maceration on the skins between 18 and 20 days. Aging is carried out for the first 12 months in barrels of 2nd passage and for the remaining 12 months in oak casks. The assembly takes place in steel.
