Climate
The 2008 vintage follows a long and cold winter that lasted until April and which led to a budding that took place late in the last days of April. This delay was partially resolved thanks to a particularly hot May. Summer was characterized by hot and humid periods and heavy thunderstorms. The freshness of August allowed a good conservation of the acidity, in particular the noble acidity of the wine, in the form of tartaric acid. Eventually the slow maturation of the grapes at relatively cool temperatures led to the formation of splendid varietal aromas and the maintenance of beautiful and well balanced acidity, a guarantee of long-aging wines. The harvest took place in cool, windy conditions, conducive to preserving the good health of the grapes and maintaining acidity. The wines of this vintage have distinctive, elegant and fruity aromas.
Tasting notes
Beautiful golden yellow color. The aroma is intense, of great purity, with notes of honey, dried apricot, quinces and lavender. On the palate, wide and rich wine, but not heavy, thanks to the presence of good acidity and the great strength of this wine is given by its power and balance brought about by organic agriculture.
Aging capacity
Wine ready to be tasted and with ample aging margins.
Small tips
Taste it at a temperature of 8 ° -10 ° C. Ideal with foie gras, cheeses and desserts but not based on chocolate.
