The products of Fattoria del Teso have always stood out to represent the typicality of the Montecarlo "terroir". Both the whites and the reds immediately reveal their characteristics of elegance and refinement to the taster. This feature which is largely due to the proximity of the sea and the mild climate, distinguishes the Montecarlo doc from all other Tuscan products. The must obtained by soft pressing is cold decanted and subsequently fermented at a controlled temperature of 17 ° C. Maturation takes place in cement and stainless steel tanks for 6 months. It then ages for 2 months in the bottle before being marketed.
the "MONTECARLO DOC"
The ancient thirteenth-century parchments of the abbey of Pozzeveri already spoke of the hills of Montecarlo and its ancient name, Vivinaia, that is "The wine route", a path that already in the Middle Ages thanks to the intercession of religious orders, recognized the wine produced in this territory as "clear, vermilion, pure and frank."
The wines produced in that of Montecarlo were appreciated in history by the Medici family, they landed thanks to Pope Gregory VII at the Papal court and even at the wedding of Prince Umberto di Savoia, future king of Italy where they were present on the tables during lunch, "Chablis di Montecarlo" as they were called at the time.
The territory is in the province of Lucca, those hills between the Tyrrhenian Sea and the Tuscan Apennines that create a unique and particular microclimate where vines such as Trebbiano Toscano, Vermentino, Sangiovese and all those that thanks to Montecarlese Giulio Magnani in 1870 arrived in Tuscany , like Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Franc, Roussanne and Semillon, have the ability to give the vintners of this terroir the opportunity to create unique products.
Climate, vines and geological composition combined with the ability of producers and winemakers makes this small D.O.C. a piece no less important than others in the fantastic mosaic of Italian viticulture.
"Wine, especially in Italy, is the poetry of the earth" (Mario Soldati)

The color in the glass is crystalline, pale straw yellow, the green helps to give this very inviting shine, you can perceive gracefully hints of freshly mown grass, aromatic sage and thyme, tomato leaf, the hawthorn floral travels hand in hand with notes of peach and rennet apple pulp, crunchy sip, an iodized note is immediately perceived in the mouth, the one that defines the minerality that completes and enhances the product.
I would call it "restless", to be tasted young, when its particularity remains in line with the vines and the territory.

Wine to drink but it does not mind a couple of years of aging.
Taste it at a temperature of 8 ° -12 ° C. It goes perfectly with white meats and fish in all its specialties.
