The domaine is located in the Loire valley, in the center of France, in one of the most famous "white vocation areas" in the world. In 1945 Marcell Gitton, buying half a hectare of vineyards in the Sancerre area, in the Loire valley, founded the domaine
Gitton Père et Fils has built its reputation over the years on respect for traditions and with the aim of producing distinctive wines that reflect the "heart" of its vineyards.

wine description

It is an excellent Sancerre, born from the selection of sauvignon blanc vineyards, grown on siliceous soils, which give the wines a great minerality and gustatory persistence. It has an aging potential of 10-12 years, with interesting evolutions towards increasingly fascinating and particular tertiary aromas.

tasting notes

Straw yellow with greenish reflections. The nose is intense, pronounced, aromatic and typically varietal. In the mouth it is velvety and balanced, slightly astringent on the finish. Minerality marked.

aging capacity

Wine with excellent evolutionary capabilities.

small tips

Taste it at a temperature of 12 ° C. It goes perfectly with a grilled octopus salad or a grilled swordfish steak.
